The International Land and Forest Tenure Facility is a leading global financial mechanism, working in partnership with Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendant Peoples and local communities to strengthen their tenure and ability to preserve, protect and enjoy the benefits of their traditional lands, territories and resources.
I was engaged by research and strategic communications agency, Kite Insights, to write Tenure Facility’s 2024 annual report. The challenge was twofold: to capture the breadth and depth of their partners’ achievements across 18 countries and to convey the impact of this work to donors and other key stakeholders. From interviews with the Tenure Facility team and partners on the ground, to drafting thought leadership and data gathering, this was an substantial and deeply meaningful project.
